Membership
Membership is open to all SRJC employees - faculty, classified professionals, administrators, and short-term / hourly staff - who identify as LGBTQIA2S+ or as supportive allies.
- No mandatory dues are required for membership.
- Optional voluntary dues may be collected and used only for mission-aligned programming and must be transparently reviewed annually.
- Members may join or withdraw at any time without restriction.
Leadership Structure
The leadership of Pride@SRJC shall consist of the following elected positions:
Three co-chairs, each elected from a different SRJC employee group:
- One Faculty Co-Chair
- One Classified Professional Co-Chair
- One Manager / Supervisor Co-Chair
- One Events & Visibility Coordinator, elected separately.
This structure is intended to ensure shared leadership, cross-constituent representation, and collaborative governance.
Co-Chair Responsibilities
The Co-Chairs of Pride@SRJC collectively share responsibility for:
- Facilitating and coordinating meetings
- Managing communications and required reporting
- Serving as Secretary/Recorder (agendas, minutes, documentation)
- Overseeing voluntary dues and financial transparency
- Serving as liaisons to Human Resources, DEI efforts, and governance bodies
- Co-Chairs may divide responsibilities among themselves by mutual agreement and may revise internal role assignments as needed to support effective operations.
Members of Pride@SRJC commit to:
- Respecting each person’s right to self-identify
- Respecting and using names and pronouns
- Maintaining confidentiality around sensitive or personal sharing
- Upholding zero tolerance for harassment or discrimination
- Practicing intentional inclusion
- Supporting empowerment, voice, and advocacy
- Extending grace, care, and curiosity as we learn together
